If you do decide to use premium SEO software, or adwords management software then you should look at a software source code escrow agreement, to ensure that you can continue to rely on the software should the software provider go bust.

This isn't so important with SEO software, as most SEO firms use various different SEO tools & don't rely heavily on them, however SEM software, such as adwords management packages, tend to be relied upon a great deal - and should be for the amount of money they cost! So, it's madness to pay for such a service, and to not put an agreement in place that would protect your busines should the software provider go out of business.

Manual SEO is really the best way to go about it. I do use WP Gold for reports to automate the reporting for many clients, but otherwise I tend to stay away from SEO software as well.

yes,i agree on what the author had said about using manual Search engine optimization from the beginning. I think it is better to do it manually so that you can also experience the traditional way of doing it instead of doing them with SEO softwares.
