If you’re looking for a cheap website – you’re probably considering downloading & customising a template.

Be careful!

Many of the templates you can download & customise, are :

Built in flash - which causes accessibility & search engine friendliness issues.

Difficult to personalise – with only certain parts of the website being editable, which means you’ll potentially have a website which is very similar to many other websites.

And – in many cases, you could have had a brilliant looking website build for a few hundred quid, ok probably a bit more than you’d have paid for a template – but you’d be left with something worth having…

One thing you need to remember, is that your website needs to be search engine friendly – so you can drive traffic to the website from the free, organic search engine results – but also, your website needs to be able to convert visitors into paying customers, or there’s no point in doing it.
